A la conquète du Chili !

La quête du sentier parfait repart de plus belle ! On part à la conquête du Chili. Grossièrement nous allons descendre tout au sud, vers Ushuaïa, si on a le temps ! Le pays semble bien long…

A travers le Chili et l’Argentine, on va parcourir la Patagonie. Notre programme n’est pas tout à fait défini car nous devons rencontrer le staff de http://www.montenbaikenduro.com qui vont nous aider pour planifier notre trip.

Bangkok

As soon as we landed, we knew that we were far from Nepal. The brand new airport and the impressive amount of tourist was a big change. Also, the capital, even with a traditional and religious presence, modernity was everywhere. New buildings, new cars, luxury, … A sort of European feeling… If temple and pictures of the king were not in every corner. The king is in every houses, restaurants, on buildings and nobody is allowed to speak about it. If you walk on a bank note, that has the picture of the king, you could go to jail! It’s also better to write this outside (we are in Tasmania) of Thailand because Internet is under inspection by the government.

Anyway, the presence of all those temple makes Bangkok very interesting culturally. But for us, as mountain bikers, it’s too crowded, too many cars, pollution, …

We did some cultural visit and try all food that were possible and took the train for a more quiet place! We enjoyed Bangkok but we were also happy to leave.

If you like big town, shopping, temple and the king, stay a few days in Bangkok!

Bambou Trail

With a bit of delay, we publish finally our first shot in Thaïland. We headed to Chang Mai with the train and ride the Bambou Trail. Big surprise, a superb trail build for MTB. Have a look on the gallery, more is to come the following days.

We are actually in Tasmania, and with a surprise, it’s difficult to find Wireless Internet. It was very easy in Nepal and Thaïland but Australia, very difficult.

Last days riding in Kathmandu Valley

img_1354 Last days in Nepal, we had still the opportunity to go riding with local people nearly everyday. Nepal warm welcoming at his maximum.
On a few pictures, you can see a ritual to bless the car. A sacrifice to peace the god by giving them blood. So they will not look for more blood from the car passenger. In this case, the sacrifice was replace by a modified vegetable. It’s why you can see legs.
